Maker Space
I like the City of Savage and I think the Mayor and City Council are open to citizen feedback and suggestions. I appreciate the many walking trails available.
One area of potential improvement could be having a site for crafters to explore or maintain their hobby. With so many residents downsizing to a smaller housing unit the owner/renter no longer has a place to continue there artistic passion. Whether it be painting, weaving, card making, etc., storage and room is at a premium in most housing areas-- apartments, assisted living units, retirement units, etc. It would be nice to have a place to continue to practice and keep seniors (but not limited to seniors) engaged. For individuals to maintain their supplies in a safe and secure area and to have access to it on a 24 hr basis.
On another note: I am wondering if it is time to review the speed limit on Highway 13 and County Road 42 especially where they intersect. It seems that Savage has grown along those corridors and the speed limit of 55 miles per hour might be a little fast.
