Affordable Housing

My husband and I will be searching for affordable housing for seniors. It appears that most of our senior community moved here to be near family. We bought a home 13 years ago to accommodate our grandchildren and pets. Now, the grandchildren are teens and the pets are gone. We do not need or desire assisted living - who can afford this I don't know! If you have options, I would like to hear about them as we would prefer to remain close to family. Needs to be single story, two garage and some green space. It would be so nice to be able to walk places to - stores, parks etc.
