- The tree and roots created from different hands symbolize growth, strength, and connection. Both literally and metaphorically, they link the past, present, and future generations.
- Our parks and natural spaces are important features of our community. Seeing people enjoying our parks, trails, and green space reflects how interconnected we are within our community.
- The rivers, both the Minnesota River and the Credit River, represent unity in diversity. Rivers collect water from many sources and combine them into one flowing body, symbolizing how different people, ideas, and cultures can come together in harmony.
- The soaring eagle is a native symbol of strength and connection that acknowledges our connection to being on Dakota land.
To give a sense of scale, the letters in "People Connect Here" are approximately 12 inches tall, and the eagle soaring is approximately 2 feet in width.
