Vacation of 124th Street West Right-of-Way

The right-of-way (ROW) at 124th Street West, east of Xenwood Avenue was part of a ROW vacation in 2023; however, it was discovered the description of the ROW was inaccurate. City Council has directed staff to correct this issue and vacate the whole ROW. This involves rescinding the resolution that initially vacated the ROW and holding a new public hearing to vacate the ROW, with the corrected legal description. Upon vacation, the city will rezone and re-guide the property to industrial. It is the intent of the city to deed each half of the ROW to neighboring property owners KTI Fencing and Pomp's Tire.
