The City has received a petition to vacate the portion of Aquila Avenue, which is a stubbed street within the West Summit Oaks plat, located south of 154th Street West, between 8603 154th Street West and 15387 Aquila Avenue. This stubbed street segment is no longer intended to provide a future street connection. The Savage City Council will hold a public hearing, as part of its regular meeting, in the Council Chambers at Savage City Hall, 6000 McColl Drive, Savage, Minnesota, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, on Monday, June 1, 2026. All interested parties are invited to attend the City Council meeting. Comments or questions can be submitted by noon on May 26, 2026, to Senior Planner Angie Perera at aperera@savagemn.gov or 952-882-2698. All comments received by the deadline will be included in the City Council agenda packet. Comments received after the deadline will be shared with the City Council at the meeting. Comments are also welcome during the designated public comment time of the meeting. Both oral and written testimony from the public will be considered during the hearing.
