We invite Savage residents to submit their most fun, unique, and clever snow-inspired names to name a Savage Snowplow! Submissions will be accepted November 4 through 15. The winning submission will be added to a City plow!

  • Come back November 20-24 to vote for your favorite name.

Guidelines:

  • Must be a Savage resident.
  • Open to all ages.
  • Submissions are limited to 30 characters, including letters and spaces.
  • Keep it clean! Submissions that include profanity or other inappropriate language will not be considered.
  • Submissions can’t include your own name or another person’s name.
  • Politically inspired names (including phrases, slogans, or plays on politicians’ names) will not be considered. Naming a snowplow is meant to be fun and lighthearted, so we’re going to keep this contest nonpartisan and nonpolitical.
  • We will consider factors such as (but not limited to) frequency of name submissions, uniqueness, and simplicity for broad public understanding.
  • Names or words protected by copyright or trademark will not be considered.
  • If multiple people submit the same name, the person who submits the name first will be credited.
  • City of Savage employees and family members are excluded from participating in the contest.
  • By submitting your entry, you agree to allow the City of Savage to use your submitted entry in a public and official capacity. The name of the winning participant will be shared in a news release, on the city’s website, social media, and other communication channels.
  • If your name is selected as the winner, you will be notified by phone or email. The winning snowplow name will be added to the snowplow.
  • City staff reserves the right to make adjustments to name submissions.
