Big Sky Estates Alternative Urban Areawide Review (AUAR) 2024 Update

The City of Savage authorized the distribution of the Big Sky Estates AUAR Update to the Environmental Quality Board (EQB) Monitor and is seeking public comments.

Prior Lake Aggregates, Inc. has submitted the Big Sky Estates AUAR update for the property located in the City of Savage, Minnesota and incorporates changes to the end-use development plan that have occurred for the Site since the previous AUAR was completed in 2007. The current plan includes the development of low-density residential units in contrast to the mixture of low- and medium-density residential and commercial space previously proposed. The Project Area now encompasses 192 acres of yet to be developed land in the southwestern part of Savage in the SW 1/2 of Section 31, T115N, R21W of Scott County, Minnesota.

The AUAR Update will be available for public comment tentatively starting on April 29, 2025, and will tentatively conclude on May 13, 2025, by 4:30 p.m. The City of Savage will accept written comments via mail or email. Comments will become part of the official record of the AUAR Update process.

The Draft AUAR Update can be accessed electronically under the Documents section on the right side of this project page. A hard copy of the Draft AUAR Update is also available for public review at the City Hall located at 6000 McColl Drive, Savage, MN 55378.
